Customer Accidentally Tips Restaurant $1 Million

When you're tipping on a check, it's easy to flub up the numbers a bit and miscalculate your total. But one man in Scotland definitely outpaces all of us combined for accidentally tipping over a million dollars.

According to the Evening Express, the man—who prefers to remain anonymous—ate at Rajpoot Indian Restaurant in Aberdeenshire with a few friends and decided to foot the £100 (about  8806 INR) bill. After turning over his credit card, the man had somehow entered £1,006,082.04 as his final amount. That's about $1.3 million (87321585 INR approx.).

The restaurant's owner, Abdul Wahid, told the Express: "When he came to pay, I gave him the card machine and he asked to put in the amount himself, but it didn't go through. I then had to phone the bank for him and I answered all of the questions and they then gave me the confirmation code. At this time, he still had the card machine, so I never saw the amount he had typed in.

Lucky for the man (and his checking account), he was able to contact his bank in time to reverse the charge and instead pay a reasonable amount for his friends' meals.
