Improve your social media vocab with these trending terms

Thanks to social media, our vocabulary is constantly evolving with new (inventive) words to describe feelings, trends, and frustrations. Now, there's no denying these do sound made-up (hello, enshittification), but if you're looking to keep up, then here are a few new words worth memorising!

Enshittification

You know when your fave app starts off great, then slowly turns into just adverts—all to wring out more cash? It’s like a rite of passage in the app world.

Ludraman

Just another (cooler) term for someone who thrives on stirring the pot. Ring a bell?

Slop

The gauche “art” that AI makes.

Greedflation

When prices go up not because of supply chains or shortages, but because some corporate bigwig wants a new yacht.

Gigil

Borrowed from Tagalog, a Filipino language, it can be used to describe the (until now, indescribable) feeling you get upon seeing something so adorable, you simply want to squish and squeeze it. No? Just us? Okay.
