Indian-origin journalist Megha Rajagopalan, along with two contributors has won the Pulitzer Prize. Megha's innovative investigative reports have exposed a vast infrastructure of prisons and mass internment camps secretly built by China, being used for detaining thousands of Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang reason. She shared the U.S' top journalism award with two of her colleagues at Buzzfeed News—Alison Killing and Christo Buschek.
Meghna shared that she was never expecting to win the award and that she is most grateful to the ex-detainees who revealed what happened to them inside Xinjiang's camps. The public owes much to their courage she said, Tweeting that there is," Still much more work to be done."
On a slightly humorous note, the journalist shared her dad's reaction to her winning the Pulitzer and it basically defines every understated Indian dad reaction, ever!
