John (Owen Wilson) and Jenny (Jennifer Aniston) take in a lovable labrador who becomes a steadfast companion through all their highs and lows, even as they navigate the challenges of parenthood. But be warned, there's a heartbreaking scene when the loyal pup has to say goodbye to the family. Pet lover or not, you will need more than just one box of tissues. 

The Pursuit of Happyness


This movie, inspired by the true story of Chris Gardner, follows his journey as he faces numerous financial hardships while raising his son amidst homelessness. Real-life father and son, Will and Jaden Smith deliver incredibly powerful performances that will surely get your tear ducts sweaty. 

Call Me by Your Name


17-year-old Elio (Timothee Chalament) spends the summer in Italy with his family where he meets Oliver (Armie Hammer) who changes his life. Their relationship slowly starts to bloom only for it to end shortly after. This movie includes the infamous fireplace scene that will have you bursting into tears. And since it is Pride Month, believe us, this one ought to be on your watchlist!

The Fault in Our Stars


A young teen suffering from cancer, Hazel's (Shailene Woodley) life is completely transformed when she meets Augustus (Ansel Elgort) at a cancer support group. Their love story and the moments they share are sure to bring tears to your eyes, especially the tragic demise at the end. 

The Holiday


The Holiday is a heartwarming romantic comedy that follows two women, Iris (Kate Winslet) and Amanda (Cameron Diaz) who swap homes for the holidays to escape their heartaches and love altogether. But life has unexpected plans as the two meet two incredible men who show them just what they might be missing out on. The characters are so relatable that you might just end up shedding a tear or two for them.

The Grave of the Fireflies 


This Studio Ghibli animated film tells a heartbreaking story about a teenager named Seita and his little sister, Setsuko. They get separated from their parents during a war and must survive on their own. The movie takes viewers through the challenges they face and how they try to stay together despite everything. It's a powerful tale about the effects of war, especially on innocent children like Seita and Setsuko.
