Around here, Dunkin' Donuts is basically the glue that holds us together. And even though we visit the coffee chain at least once a day, apparently, we didn't know all that there is to know. Behold, some interesting nuggets for fellow fans:
There are more than 15,000 different drink combinations you can dream up with the Dunkin' menu, so you could technically have something different for the next forty years and never get bored. If you drink more than one a day, cheers to you for the next 20 or so years.
Small coffees at Dunkin' are 16 fl oz, which — not to point fingers — is the same amount of liquid as a grande — er, medium — at a certain competitor chain.
Not all heroes wear capes: Dunkin' coffee experts taste an average of 200 cups of coffee every day to make sure they're brewing only the hits. We would like to apply for this job immediately.
This summer, Dunkin' hopped on the cold brew coffee trend and added limited batches to the menu. It's smoother and richer than regularly brewed coffee because it's steeped over a long period of time — but unlike the homemade stuff, you don't have to wait for it to steep.
If dreams of caramel iced coffee are swirling in your head before bed, you can use thesmartphone app to order your morning coffee up to 24 hours in advance. Place your order and pay before you leave the house — then just tap "Ready for pickup" when it's go time and bypass the line altogether. You can also set and name your favorites ("Tuesday Treat," for example) and keep track of precious DD Perks Rewards inside the app.
You may have seen celebs (like B.J. Novak, below) post about the elusive DD Black Card, but it turns out any loyal customer can become a member — but it's a mystery exactly how this happens. Some say you can be gifted one for being a loyal customer, but being the one-millionth person to sign up for DD Rewards has also earned people the prestigious title, according to Business Insider. Good to know: It doesn't actually get you perks, it's basically just a rechargeable gift card... but it looks cool.

In 1950, the first Dunkin' Donuts opened in Quincy, Massachusetts — but it was actually called "Kettle Donuts." You can still visit the original DD to pay homage to the Dunkin' founder, Bill Rosenburg, and check out the awesome vintage memorabilia. Today, there are more than 8,000 Dunkin' locations across the country, plus more than 3,200 in 36 countries. Thanks, Bill!

On average, Dunkin' sells more than 30 cups of coffee every second. That's 1.7 billion cups of hot and iced coffee globally every year, and a lot of caffeine. We promise, we're only responsible for a fraction of that...
Not into baking, but need a last-minute birthday treat to bring to your kid's class? Certain Dunkin' locations will make donuts in the shape of a number. Just make sure you call in advance so they can make enough for the whole class.
