Pack in yoga sessions when you can


Yoga helps you increase your flexibility and strength and at the same time reduces stress. Its one of the best exercises to do while travelling, the main reason being you needn’t carry any equipment for this and can do it anywhere.

2. Focus on what you eat

You need to keep in mind what you eat pre and post workout. Experts generally recommend eating two hours prior to your workout and to eat foods that give you a burst of energy. Banana, yoghurt and simple carbs are ideal pre-workout. Post workout eat a diet rich in protein as it helps repair and build muscles.

 

3. Choose workouts that build core strength

Shraddha’s choice of exercise is Pilates. She does this full body exercise that keeps her core strong and her body lean. Core strength is crucial to maintain a good posture, balance and do day-to-day activities more effectively. 

4. Break the monotony

Don’t feel like hitting the gym? Skip it, take time out for a dance session instead. Dance is a good form of cardio that effectively burns calories and is a lot of fun too. 

5. Don’t forget to warm up before the exercise 

Warming up before exercise will prevent injuries and that’s the reason why Shraddha never misses her warm up sessions.
