Harper's Bazaar India and The Bicester Collection orchestrated an afternoon that didn’t just look good on Instagram—it actually meant something.

What do you get when you mix sharp minds, great clothes, and real conversation? On June 3, Harper’s Bazaar India and The Bicester Collection launched the very first edition of Bazaar Dialogues at The Apartment in Bicester Village—and it was anything but your typical fashion event. Think: beautiful people wearing gorgeous clothes, yes, but also thoughtful panels, honest perspectives, and a refreshing energy in the room.

The event began with two tightly curated discussions, each exploring distinct aspects of South Asian identity, creativity, and global influence. One panel dove into fashion—past wins, what’s working now, and where we’re headed. The other spotlighted design, and how cultural storytelling shows up in everything from silhouettes to spaces. It was the kind of afternoon where you wanted to take notes—and not just for the outfits.

Among the speakers were some of the most exciting names shaping the conversation around South Asian creativity right now: stylist and creative director Nikhil Mansata, designer Dhruv Kapoor, Diet Paratha’s Anita Chhiba, and Rahemur Rahman, whose namesake studio is making waves in London. The vibe was candid, generous, and refreshingly unfiltered.

And then came lunch. A sit-down that took all the big-panel energy and dialled it down to something more intimate, like a very chic dinner party, except it was noon and everyone at the table had something smart (and stylish) to say. Ideas were swapped, experiences shared, and we were told that numbers were definitely exchanged.

What made this afternoon stand out wasn’t just the high fashion or the luxury setting—it was the soul of it all. The idea that fashion can be about community, that design is a language, and that meaningful connection is a flex. Even the conversations around sustainability felt real—less preachy, more "here’s how we’re actually doing it."

As far as first chapters go, this one was pretty stellar. Bazaar Dialogues is shaping up to be a series we’ll be watching closely—and who knows, maybe next time we’ll score an invite.
