The Lollapalooza India 2027 lineup is here and there’s a lot to get excited about

If there’s one thing Lollapalooza India knows how to do, it’s bring the big names. Over the years, the festival has gone from being a new addition to India’s music calendar to a full-blown weekend we actually plan our January around.

From Shawn Mendes, Yungblud, and Kehlani to bands like Glass Animals, Green Day, and Linkin Park, the line up seems to get bigger and better and we're not complaining. Because Lollapalooza India 2027 may still be a few months away, but the lineup is officially out, and it's giving us plenty to get excited about. 

Taking over Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse on January 23 and 24, Lollapalooza 2027 is bringing together a gloriously chaotic mix of sounds, from indie and alternative to pop, rock and electronic. Basically, there’s something for every kind of music girl, and plenty of reasons to start making plans. 

The pop girls are having a moment

If your festival playlist leans more pop than mosh pit, Lolla 2027 has plenty to keep you busy. Fresh off her 2026 Grammy win for Best New Artist, British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean is bringing her soulful, feel-good sound to Mumbai for her India debut. Add tracks like 'Man I Need', 'So Easy (To Fall in Love)', and 'Nice to Each Other' to your pre-festival rotation for the perfect getting-ready soundtrack. Then there’s Katseye, whose slick pop, addictive hooks, and choreography-heavy performances are practically made for a festival crowd. With 'Touch' and 'Gnarly' already doing the rounds, consider your pre-Lolla dance breaks sorted. And if you’re after something a little more alt-pop, Rachel Chinouriri is another name worth adding to the playlist.

Time to enter your rockstar era

For anyone whose idea of a good festival involves a little more noise, Limp Bizkit is bringing its signature nu-metal chaos to Mumbai for its India debut. 'Break Stuff' is the obvious pre-festival anger release, while 'Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)' should probably be played at maximum volume.

Meanwhile, 5 Seconds of Summer are bringing a very different kind of rock nostalgia. Making their India debut too, the Australian pop-rock band was the soundtrack for a certain generation growing up on Tumblr, fan accounts, bedroom posters and painfully earnest teenage playlists. ‘She Looks So Perfect’, ‘Youngblood’, and ‘Amnesia’ are less songs and more time machines, instantly transporting anyone who came of age in the 2010s straight back to their teenage years. Whether you were deep in your 5SOS phase or simply knew every word by osmosis, expect this one to be a very emotional singalong. Additionally, Fontaines D C and St Vincent add a darker, more alternative edge to the international lineup.

The homegrown lineup deserves your attention

But honestly, the Indian lineup alone is reason enough to start making your must-listen list. From Anuv Jain and Gujarati folk-pop star Aditya Gadhvi to The Manganiyar Seduction, Indian Ocean, Kayan and Rhea Raj, there’s a seriously wide mix of sounds to explore. The lineup also digs deeper into India’s indie and alternative scene, with names including Blackstratblues, Scribe, Varijashree Venugopal, Yashraj, Swadesi, Meewakching, Anoushka Maskey, and The Lightyears Explode. Basically, if you were planning to spend the whole weekend hopping between the main stages, consider this your sign to wander a little further.
