1. "Use a round foam nail file (a metal one tears the nail) to file nails in one direction.” —ANINEO

2. “Apply cuticle remover and remove excess cuticles and calluses around the nail. Use an orange stick to push back cuticles.” —SHRUTI SHARMA

3. “Remove old polish using an acetone-free remover.” —SIMAR SUKHIJA

4. “Buff nails to remove shine. This will help your polish last longer.” —SHRUTI SHARMA

5. “Lightly brush your nails with a soft manicure brush to remove any loose cuticles.” —SIMAR SUKHIJA

6. “Before applying colour, first apply a base coat to protect nails from staining.” —ANINEO

7. “Apply polish starting at the bed of the nail, pulling the brush up. Repeat, starting at the bottom, covering the corners this time. Cover the nail in three strokes.” —SIMAR SUKHIJA

8. “Once dry, use a top coat to seal in colour, increase shine and make polish last longer." —ANINEO

9. “Dip an angled brush or cotton bud in polish remover and trace the edges of your cuticle to remove excess colour.” —SHRUTI SHARMA

10. ROUND TWO Repeat step seven.

11. “Apply cuticle oil around the cuticle and gentle massage it. Don't forget to apply some top coat every two days to keep colour intact.” —ANINEO
