5 Best Facial Oils For Every Skin Type

Facial massage is a great way to stimulate your skin into looking fresher and more rejuvenated.

When you gently massage your face you improve blood circulation, tighten muscles, rejuvenate and restore skin cells, and eliminate toxic waste by improving lymphatic drainage. Many beauty experts believe that regular ayurvedic massaging can help to nourish and brighten skin along with enhancing mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

And, choosing the correct facial oil plays a huge role to get the perfect, relaxing massage. Packed with antioxidants and skin-brightening powers, there is a facial oil for every skin type! Shreyansh Jain, CEO, Medy365.com  says, "Taking out five minutes to perform facial massage can help to look younger and attractive without using expensive skin care products or treatments. However, it is important to choose only quality organic oils or essential oils to practice self-care otherwise using just any oil can lead to breakouts and other skin problems."

He suggests the following facial oils that can be used with a Gua sha, jade roller, Kansa wand or just the balls of your fingers:

Almond oil for dry skin

Best suited for dry and sensitive skin types, this oil is packed with antibacterial, antifungal, and hypoallergenic properties. Almond oil helps repair damaged skin, treat fungal issues, and has skin brightening effects. To use, just warm up a teaspoon of almond oil and mix it with two drops of Vitamin E. Massage the mixture onto your face for five minutes.

Coconut oil for combination skin

A natural moisturizer, organic coconut oil is ideal for people with sensitive, dry, and combination skin. It is loaded with nourishing fatty acids that help improve the skin’s moisture barrier, reduce inflammation, increase collagen production, and improve skin complexion. Take one tablespoon of coconut oil, rub it within your palms, and gently massage it onto your face and neck.

Tea tree oil for oily skin

A great anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, antiseptic, and antifungal, tea tree oil is highly suitable for acne-prone and oily skin types. The oil works to remove dead skin cells, regulate sebum production, reduce inflammation, and detoxify skin eliminating toxins from the pores. Dilute a few drops of tea tree oil with honey, aloe vera, or some carrier oils such as almond, coconut, or sesame oil, and apply the mixture onto the face for massaging.

Avocado oil for all skin types

Packed with potassium, lecithin, Vitamin E, oleic acid, vitamins, minerals, and other essential nutrients, avocado oil is excellent for all skin types. The oil can be used to replenish dry skin, shield skin from UV rays, heal chapped skin, and increase collagen metabolism. The avocado oil is great carrier oil so you can mix it with a few drops of essential oil such as lavender, argan, or tea tree oil and massage the mixture onto the face for a few minutes.

Jojoba oil for acne-prone skin

Jojoba oil contains a natural form of Vitamin E and other antioxidants, that protect the skin from environmental damage, kills acne-causing bacteria, soothes inflamed skin, promote collagen production, and add moisture. Heat a little amount of jojoba oil and apply it onto freshly cleansed skin for a few minutes.
