Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil’s claim to fame in the beauty world is its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. A few drops of this oil in your regular shampoo can work wonders against dandruff. With regular use, you won’t see those pesky flakes again.

Apple Cider Vinegar

If all else fails, be sure that apple cider vinegar is up to the job. It is brimming with anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. It also controls excess sebum production and maintains the pH balance of your scalp. Thus nipping your dandruff problem in the bud.

Lemon and curd

Mix one tablespoon of lemon juice in two-three tablespoons of curd and apply it to your scalp. Let it sit for about 20-30 minutes, and wash your hair as you would regularly. Lemon juice contains citric acid, which is one of the best antibacterials around. However, applying it directly would only agitate your scalp further, hence add some curd, which is a brilliant conditioner, and let it work hard to leave your hair dandruff-free.

Neem + coconut oil

There is a reason neem is held in high accord in Indian households. It works as an anti-fungal, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory agent which can relieve you of dandruff as well as a dry and itchy scalp. Grind a few neem leaves, add a few spoons of coconut oil, and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. It works like magic!
