Nargis Fakhri Shows Us How to Work the Red Makeup Trend

Hottie Nargis Fakhri works the trend to perfection.

The Fearless Red Shadow

Who's afraid of the red eye? No need to be! The trick lies in a shade that can actually work in real life—instead of a bold hue, try a copper-y red or a pink-ish version. A fluffy brush will deposit less colour and let you build up, so use that. Add a black cat-eye for contrast, so you look more cool, and less contagious.

Cherry Cheeks

A red blush may look scary in the box, but if applied lightly, gives cheeks a youthful, natural flush. Blend the product in a boomerang shape from your brow bone to the top of the cheekbone, and add a touch to the tip of your nose—so it looks like you just ran around the block.

An Ultra- Glossy Affair

If you love drama, this version is tailor-made for you! Glossy lips work great with a matte complexion, so follow your foundation with a setting powder. For crisper edges, use a concealer pen around your lips. It's all about high definition, baby!

Truly, Matte-ly

If you enjoy the spotlight, matte lips will get you all that! The right shade matters, and it helps to know whether you're a cool or warm-toned girl (if the veins under your wrist are greenish, you're 'warm'; purple or blue veins mean you're 'cool'). When shopping for one, look for terms like 'matte', '18-hour' or 'long-lasting', and avoid 'sheer' or 'semi-matte'.
