Alia Bhatt Responds to Kangana Ranaut Calling Her 'Spineless' and 'Karan Johar's Puppet'

Kangana Ranaut has always been known to stir things up in tinseltown by saying it like it is. Be it her stand on nepotism, #Metoo, or any other topics, the actor has always been known to give us full disclosure every single time.

While we all admire Kangana for her feminist and direct stance on many issues, we are not quite sure about the exact dynamics of her relationship with some of the people in the film fraternity. Recently, there seems to be trouble brewing in Bollywood post the release of her film Manikarnika, mainly in the form of Kangana not being pleased with people's support for her film. In a recent interview the actor spoke out about the lack of support she has received from Bollywood. She said she was upset about how Bollywood stars, including Amir Khan and Alia Bhatt, didn’t praise or support her during the release of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Known for her bold and fearless attitude, she went on to make another shocking statement about how Alia should raise her own voice, revealing the details of a recent phone conversation of her with the actor.

Kangana said, “I suggested that she grows some spine and supports an important film about woman empowerment and nationalism...if she doesn’t have a voice of her own and her existence is all about being KJo's (Karan Johar's) puppet then I don’t consider her successful...I told her if she is only focusing on earning bucks and not raise a voice, then her success has no value.”

Trust Kangana to say exactly what's on her mind and put everything out in the open, once again. We, however, could not help but wonder how Alia Bhatt would react to this statement. So when Alia addressed the situation in a recent interview, we were all eyes and ears. Here's what she said:

"I would like to react to her personally if she has any complaints. I don’t want to talk about it in the media. As I have said before, I really admire her as an actor and the choices that she makes. She’s a very outspoken person and I admire her for that as well. If I have upset her unintentionally, then I don’t know. Basically, it wasn’t my intention. I didn’t do anything to get a reaction like this."

That seems to be the perfect diplomatic, dignified, and polite response to the situation, don't you think? Looks like Alia kept the peace and prevented any bad blood between them. We are making mental notes of how to use her response to tackle tricky situations in our personal life as well, aren't you?
