“Growing up, the one dialogue that left a massive impression on me was by Amitabh Bachchan in Don, ‘Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, namumkin hai’. Even Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver, ‘You talking to me? YOU TALKING TO ME?’. Acting happened to me, instead of me wanting it to happen! My journey started when I was a model in Mumbai and was offered my first film, Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi. At the time, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to act at all, but the director [Raj Kaushal] and producer [Percept Picture Company] managed to convince me. After the film, I realised this was exactly what I wanted to do! I’m fairly hard working and ambitious, so when I’m not on set, I’m most likely thinking of ideas of what to do next. I have this entrepreneurial side to me, and I’m always up for trials and errors. I invest in start-ups, and have even launched a few companies of my own (most of which failed miserably, though two are running fairly well). On relaxed days, you’ll find me reading. I read a lot, and I am very curious, I want to know everything. So I can speak on many subjects and am able to hold a great conversation (yeah, I love to use all the best adjectives for myself!).“
