Ben Affleck Had Incredible Things to Say About Ex Fiancée Jennifer Lopez

Ben Affleck and ex fiancée Jennifer Lopez might have broken up way back in 2004, but that hasn't stopped him from recently heaping praise on her.

The actor and singer, who recently responded to rumours she and Alex Rodriguez had broken up, is on the front cover of the May issue of InStyle and the feature includes some pretty special words from some of her exes.

Jen and Ben began dating in 2002 after meeting on set of their movie Gigli and were engaged by winter of that year. The couple split two years later, having called off their wedding planned for 2003.

Now, almost two decades after their break up, Ben has proved there's absolutely no bad blood between them and, in fact, he has some serious admiration for her and what she's achieved.

"I thought I had a good work ethic, but I was completely humbled and blown away by what she was committed to doing day in and day out, the seriousness in which she took her work, the quiet and dedicated way she went about accomplishing her goals, and then how she would go back and redouble her efforts," Ben said.

"She remains, to this day, the hardest-working person I've come across in this business. She has great talent, but she has also worked very hard for her success, and I'm so happy for her that she seems, at long last, to be getting the credit she deserves."

Like us, Ben also wants to know how Jennifer manages to make 51 look so effortlessly like 31. He added, "Where are you keeping the fountain of youth? Why do you look the same as you did in 2003 and it kind of looks like I'm in my 40s… at best?"

Jen's ex husband Marc Anthony, who was married to her between 2004 and 2014, came through with some lovely praise, too.

Marc shares 13-year-old twins Max and Emme with J and 100% agrees with Ben about her extraordinary work ethic and, apparently, he took some tips on hard graft from her during their ten year marriage.

"She's the first one in the room and the last to leave. The hardest worker I've ever met. When we were together, it was quite the opposite for me. That has changed since. I learned so much from her. She's the original!"
