Did Neetu Kapoor Just Share an Unseen Photo From the Moment Ranbir Proposed to Alia?

It was just yesterday when Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor announced their pregnancy via an intimate photograph of the two peering into a sonography monitor. Soon after, congratulatory messages began pouring in; the one from mum-in-law Neetu Kapoor particularly grabbed eyeballs. The grandma-to-be posted a picture of the expectant parents embracing each other—where Ranbir has clasped in his left hand what seems to be a ring box! An African proposal, perhaps? Ardent fans are left speculating.

It was back in December 2021 when the two flew down to South Africa to ring in the new year together. And it seems amidst the wilderness, Ranbir had a surprise plan up his sleeve. Avid #Ralia fans have spotted a proposal ring box—reportedly Van Cleef & Arpels—in the actor's left hand. Tbh, the smile on the 29-year-old's face pretty much says it all. This picture hadn't surfaced until Neetu Kapoor decided to post it on her Instagram on account of the couple's pregnancy news. 

Alia Bhatt commented on the post saying, "My favourite picture ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️," and shortly after, changed her Instagram display photo to the same. A few fans were quick to catch on the setting and commented on Neetu Kapoor's post inquiring whether the photograph was from the moment Ranbir asked Alia to be his wife. Wide-eyed fans went a step further to assume that Alia's pregnancy announcement picture—the one featuring the lion family—was a subtle hint referring to their wildlife proposal. 

 

 

Alia and Ranbir's reel romance will be on display on the big screen—for the first time ever—on 9th September, Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva's release date. The much-in-love duo is all set to welcome a child into their lives, an announcement they made a mere three months into their wedding. Congratulations to the gorgeous couple!
