If there is something these colossal years of the new decade have taught us so far—go easy on the wins, predicament and uncertainty is usually looming around to say ‘gotcha’. Although Johnny Depp shut down an Indian restaurant in London and spent a cool 46 lakh to celebrate the defamation verdict last month, he wouldn’t have known a possible bombshell was waiting for him come July.

The legal battle took a new turn recently with Amber Heard’s team filing a motion for retrial, alleging Juror No. 15 was illegally selected and was not the individual summoned for jury duty on April 11, 2022. Therefore, he was not part of the jury panel and could not have properly served on the jury at this trial. Her request is on the basis that Juror No.15 is 52-years-old, born in 1970, while the jury member who *should* have been part of the trial was born in 1945, and would have been 77-years-old. The catch—they had the same address and name.

After a dramatic 6-week trial, Heard was found guilty of three defamation cases and ordered to pay 10 million dollars. Depp’s lawyers however have asked for the verdict to be set aside, claiming her team’s complaints about the identity are not relevant to the case. According to them, the 77-year-old man was summoned but his 52-year-old son responded to it instead. Plus, Heard missed the deadline to file her post-trial motions.

That’s not it though, Johnny Depp has seemingly criticised his ex-wife in a new album, called ‘18’ which will release this Friday. His songs are the only two original tracks while the rest of the album has covers of songs by ‘The Velvet Underground’, ‘Lou Reed’, and ‘The Beach’.

In a report by ‘The Independent’, the lyrics from the song by Johnny laments, “I think you’ve said enough for one mother****ing night.” The other song, titled ‘Sad Motherf***ing Parade’, he says, “You’re sitting there like a dog with a seven-year itch, If I had a dime, it wouldn’t reach your hand.”

It’s not over till both say it’s over?
