Freida Pinto and Cory Tran Welcome a Baby Boy

Actor Freida Pinto—of Slumdog Millionaire fame—has welcomed her first baby, Rumi-Ray, with her husband, Cory Tran. On Sunday, the proud parents took to Instagram to share the celebratory news with fans. "Thank you for our sweet boy. I’m in awe of you more and more every day. Watching you give birth to Rumi-Ray was truly a miracle. You are such a warrior," wrote Cory in an Instagram post.

In the pictures, you can see Rumi-Ray sleeping on his daddy's chest and snuggling with his mommy. The Slumdog Millionaire star captioned the post, "Happy Birthday Dada Cory! I celebrate you, my husband, friend, and partner in life. To see you become not just a Dad but super-Dad makes me so emotional and fills me with joy. It also gives this sleep-deprived Mama a break, and you have no idea how much I appreciate that..."

"Rumi-Ray, you are one lucky boy" she added.

The Intrusion actor announced her pregnancy back in June, flaunting her baby bump alongside her husband. "Baby Tran, coming this Fall," she revealed in her post. On 13th October, Freida also shared a sneak peek of her intimate baby shower, organised by her girl gang. The soirée featured minimal balloon decor and scrumptious food in a fall-inspired colour palette, highlighting hues of orange, yellow, and white. 

The actor got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Cory Tran, back in November 2019. In an Instagram post on 21st October, she revealed that she and Tran eloped a year prior. 

Ever since the Oscar-winning movie, she has featured in films including the Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, Immortals, Trishna, Love Sonia, and the Netflix movie Mowgli: Legend Of The Jungle. She has also starred in Love, Wedding, Repeat and Hillbilly Elegy. Most recently, the actor was seen in the Netflix movie Intrusion, that released in September.
