Priyanka Chopra Removes Last Name 'Jonas' From Her Instagram Profile

Singer, actor, and film producer Priyanka Chopra has left netizens in shock, as she has removed the last name 'Jonas' from her Instagram handle. Are we sensing trouble in paradise? Perhaps. Although, while speculations suggest a possible rift between the interracial couple, there has been no official confirmation about the same. #Nickyanka fans, stay strong, think positive. 

After tying the knot with the American singer on 1st December—in a dreamy affair at Umaid Bhawan Palace—the global icon modified her Instagram profile to add Nick's last name to her own. The sudden decision to delete the last name has left netizens worried, expectedly, sparking divorce rumours. The social media move has left many speculating what could have possibly gone wrong! Reportedly, Priyanka's mother, Dr Madhu Chopra, addressed the rumours doing the rounds on the internet. "It’s all rubbish, don’t spread rumours," she told News18.com.

A few weeks ago, the couple hosted a Diwali celebration at their lavish LA home; oh they looked so perfect. Taking to Instagram to share a photo dump from the soirée, Priyanka wrote, "Our first Diwali in our first home together. This one will always be special. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this evening so special. You’re my angels. To everyone who honoured our home and my culture by not only dressing the part but dancing the night away, you made me feel like I was back home. And, to the best husband and partner Nick Jonas. You are what dreams are made of. I love you. My heart is so grateful and full." 

We don't know what's up but are hoping that the couple will soon clarify, relieving fans (a prank, maybe? But it ain't April).

On the work front, Priyanka will next be seen in the web series Citadel, for which she has been shooting in Spain and the UK. A few other interesting projects in the line-up include Farhan Akhtar's directorial comeback with Jee Le Zaraa and The Matrix Resurrections.
