Rhea Chakraborty Breaks Her Silence: 18 Major Revelations In Her Exclusive Interview

As the conspiracies and allegations surrounding actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death get progressively murky and convoluted, the one person that everyone is talking about is Rhea Chakroborty. The Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and now the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are all investigating her. Sushant's family has registered a case against her and millions of people on social media are attacking her in an endless barrage of trolling. Rhea has held her silence, and let her lawyers do most of the talking, right until now. In an exclusive interview with India Today's Rajdeep Sardesai, the actor finally spoke out to defend herself, categorically denied all charges, including the drug conspiracy and the siphoning off of Rs 15 crore, and more. Here are a few of the key points and statements she made, in an interview that lasted close to 2 hours.

1. Rhea claims that she is finally speaking out and addressing the media because she had a dream about Sushant in which he told her to do so.

2. She said that life has become a living nightmare for her and her family, and she cannot believe this is happening to her. 

3. She denies all charges and dramatically claimed that her only crime was to fall in love with Sushant in 2015 and that she never realised the price she would have to pay.

4. Rhea herself was suffering from mental health issues such as depression and anxiety attacks, and she was undergoing therapy for the same.

 5. According to her, Sushant had a tendency towards flamboyance and to be a big spender, and his splurging on their Europe trip was all of his own accord. 

6. She denies any allegations of a relationship with Mahesh Bhatt. 

7. It was during this trip that she began to discover that he had certain issues related to anxiety and claustrophobia and that he confessed to being on medication and having had a depressive issue in the past. 

8. Sushant had allegedly spent 70 lakhs on a boys trip to Thailand, hiring a private jet and pulling out all stops, before he met Rhea. 

9. She admitted that her relationship with the actor's family was not good, but according to her it was because of a fallout with Sushant's sister Priyanka who she alleges once touched her inappropriately. 

10. She said that she shared a good relationship with his sister Meetu who lives in Mumbai, and they even went on a 6 day retreat together.

11. Rhea claims that Sushant hadn't spoken to his father for 5 years before she met him.

12. She feels that the main reason he was depressed was because he was very affected by his mother's death.

13. She (Rhea) never gave him any drugs or medicines of her own accord. 

14. According to her his family was well aware of his mental health issues.

15. She denies ever giving him or supplying him with drugs, saying he smoked pot of his own accord.

16. She says she had blocked him on the 9th of June due to their own fallout, but she would have gone back to him had she known this was going to happen. 

17. She says it was the #Metoo allegations made by his co-star Sanjana Sanghi.

18. In closing,  she spoke about there being a witch hunt out against her and her family, and that she had faith in the CBI to investigate the case in the best way possible.
