Is Jhanvi Kapoor Miffed With Karan Johar for Delaying the Official Announcement of Her Debut?

It's every debutant actor's dream to get launched by one of the leading production houses of Bollywood. There are several camps with their own fortes, and then there is Dharma production that aces in translating larger than life dreams on silver screen. Undoubtedly, a large number of budding actors yearn to be a part of this camp. Sridevi's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor is one lucky girl, who got this platinum chance to kick-start her career under this banner where her every move will be monitored by Karan Johar himself. Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan's shining careers are a testament to how precious Karan's guidance could be for a newcomer.

However, Jhanvi isn't too pleased with the fact that no official announcement has been rolled out yet. Recently, Karan made announcement for other movie that Ayan Mukerji is directing.

A leading publication revealed that Sridevi had to intervene as this announcement was taking longer than the Kapoors had anticipated.

"Jhanvi spoke to her mother Sridevi and asked her to have a word with Karan. So when Sridevi and Karan were exchanging pleasantries during the festive season, the topic of the announcement came up. She has been assured that the film will be announced once things are in place completely. Karan has also not made an official announcement on Student of the Year 2 with Tiger Shroff, as the girls in the film have also not been finalised.", said a source.

Jhanvi Kapoor is reportedly casted opposite Shahid Kapoor's brother, Ishaan Khatter for the remake of Marathi superhit film, Sairat.

When Sridevi was quizzed about Jhanvi's Bollywood debut, the actor dodged the question by saying, "Today, we will talk about Jhanvi's mom. We will talk about Jhanvi later."
