That’s what Chandler and Monica did when they wanted to see each other; they snuck around at night. It’s when everyone goes to sleep, and you can have the silence of the night to yourselves. So, try making plans at night instead of during the day. And if you’re a night owl, this is just perfect for you! 

You have to resist the urge to post them on social media 

A challenging task indeed, given we live in the digital age, where most of us live our lives on social media. But if you want to keep your relationship a secret, you’re going to have to resist the urge to post about them on your social media. You’ll have to suppress every desire you have to post a cutesy love song about them.

If you want to keep your relationship a secret, you have to realise that public displays of affection are a complete no-no. No matter how tempted you are. We know it’s hard but this happens to be one of the downsides of being in a relationship that is a secret.

Make sure that you’re both in sync 

Now, if you don’t want to get caught, make sure that you are both in sync with the excuses you are making, especially if you’re in the same friend group or team at work. Remember what happened when Monica and Chandler kept using the same excuse of “doing laundry,” they got caught! You also want to ensure that you are both on the same page about where you want the relationship to go, so you can both expect the same things.
