How to Wear a Plaid Suit?

1. BABY-BAG IT:
Welcome to that elusive perfect occasion to wear a microbag—just choose a hue that tallies (but doesn’tmatch) your checks.

2. GO OFF THE GRID:
Doubling up is done best by having one, non-checkered somethin‘ in the mix. A sexy bralet (à la Bella) is bang-on, because this tricky little b*stard doesn’t blend easy with everything.

3. CIGAR-SHARP LEGS:
With a big print like monochrome plaid taking over your body, a busy silhouette is a no-no. Enter the long-legged lines of high-waisted cigarette pants.

4. FACE GAME CHILL:
We’re talking nude lips, slicked-back hair and rose-hued lids(throw in some Lennon sunnies for extra swag). The idea is to let your outfit shine—and it’ll do that less with a bold, red lippie and winged eyeliner.

5. BLAZER BASICS:
Your inner, five-year-old ‘matching-matching’ self gets free reign with this look. Mix the silhouette up by knotting it at the waist (extra vintage points for that), or, if you’re feeling more
brazen, do away with the knot and bare that bralet proud, baby.

6. SHOES ON POINT:
The right shoes, in this case, are white shoes. With a monochrome plaid suit, your accessories will always tilt to the black side of the scale, and so, a cool white on your feet is a great equaliser. We’d go with pumps or stilettos to get a little extra height which always adds to streamlined pants.
