Lizzo's shredded denim and thong look is a Y2K mood

Lizzo is known for her daring and experimental approach to fashion—whether it's being one of the first celebs to rep teensy-tiny bags or basically inventing the bum cutout legging. Then there's the side of her style that's all about giving us OTT moments to remember forever: cosplaying as a sexy grinch or giving us an amazing Mrs. Claus look at Christmas.

Given her major fashion legacy, designers are keen to dress Lizzo in their wares—just look back at the straight-from-the-runway Jean Paul Gaultier Couture SS 2022 gown (you know, the one with *allll* the layers) she wore to the VMAs last year.

And now, she's back with some more outfit inspo. The musician was one of many celebs—including Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner—to attend the festivities celebrating Lori Harvey's birthday and, of course, she did it in style.

Posting a carousel of pics to her Instagram, Lizzo was wearing a tiny, two-tone denim bra top made from different strands of denim woven together and paired the show-stopping to with a pair of matching, lightwash denim cargo pants (above which you can see just a slip of exposed thong or G-string). The trousers were accentuated with blue belt detailing and blue fringing detailing. The look was full Diesel, the denimwear brand which has had a major renaissance of late.

And we haven't even got started on the accessories! Lizzo rocked a silver, sparkly, over-the-shoulder bag (which looks *just* like a Prada mini-bag) and a pair of matching, pointy, sparkle heels. Perfection!

Her fans were obsessed with the look, too, commenting "CUTIE🌟" and pointing out the flawless 90s/Y2K vibe of the fit, with one posting "It's giving chasing waterfalls and I'm here for it".
