Five content creators talk to Cosmo about their most-loved jewellery pieces

A well-chosen piece of jewellery can transform an outfit, and occasionally, the wearer too. It can tell a story, command a room, or whisper something only you understand. For these content creators, their favourite pieces do all that and more. From handcrafted silver heirlooms to contemporary gold accents, they reveal the jewels that express who they are, one statement at a time.

I stumbled upon this regal ensemble of neckpieces—from Karishmaz The Silver Story, a reputed silver jewellery boutique in Kolkata—while wandering the lively lanes of Gariahat. The design is a fusion of three distinct elements seamlessly combined to create one statement piece, and its true charm lies in its versatility. You’ll see an oxidised choker with floral plaques and ghungroo work, finished with a meenakari Chand Suraj’ pendant featuring sun, flower, and bird motifs. Go off-script and style it with a crisp T-shirt and jeans, or pair it with Indianwear...this piece truly holds its own. It reflects who I am: Unapologetic, charismatic, and a conversation-starter.

My Nimbu Mirchi necklace is from Isharya, the gold-plated earrings are from Amossh, and the rings and bracelets are from Lama Art House in Janpath—pieces I’ve painstakingly collected over the past four years. I love quirky, unconventional pieces that I can wear regularly. When styling jewellery, I look at two things: The neckline and the tone of the outfit. Let’s say I’m wearing a high-neck top, I’ll reach for just the earrings and ditch the necklaces, whereas, if I’m wearing a monotone outfit, I’ll go all out with stacking. These pieces are my prized possessions—they go with everything.

I’ve been collecting trinkets over the last couple of years—some from those super cute Instagram stores you discover while doomscrolling at 2 am, and others from local markets when I’m wandering about. Then there are those that I have “borrowed” from my mum and never bothered to return. I’ve always been drawn to vibrant colours and gold... marry the two and I’m sold. The multicoloured necklace, for instance, won me right over, because I knew it would complement everything. And the long, gold pendant with the heart and my initial is so personal that I end up wearing it every single day! Be it a delicate slip dress, a power blazer, or something as laid-back as jeans and a tee, these stacked pieces add the perfect touch of personality to every ensemble. They are fun, versatile, and make any outfit feel more put-together.

These Aphrodite earrings are from Jaipur-based artisanal jewellery brand, The Yamin Collective, a statement piece that celebrates drama and individuality. The exaggerated, baroque pearl drop against the delicate floral stud is incredibly unique; bold and whimsical, yet refined. I love styling them with sheer, structured pieces that allow the earrings to take centre stage. They also add a touch of opulence to more minimal, off-duty looks... wearable art, if I may. I’m also wearing the Dali earrings from the same brand as a brooch—they are an extension of who I am, making me feel seen and more confident. These statement pieces encapsulate everything I love about jewellery: Storytelling, boldness, and the ability to spark a conversation wherever I go.

Besides the flea markets in Janpath and Sarojini Nagar, the Tibetan markets in Delhi are overflowing with extraordinarily artsy pieces that catch the eye. Truth is, I’ve always loved teal-toned accessories with a silver base because they pair well with earthy hues and neutrals, making it super easy for me to put together fusion looks. Take this bold pendant, for instance, featuring a design so intricate that it instantly elevates even the simplest outfit. It’s one of those rare finds that quicky takes you from brunch to festive evenings. Teal-toned accessories seamlessly transition between casual and boho-chic styles; they’re more than an adornment...they’re a whole mood. You could style a white pantsuit with stacked rings, denims with a chunky handcuff, or even layer and overload pieces to take it up a notch.
