Your Weekly Tarot Card Reading, Based on Your Sign

If you play your cards right, you’ll have a great week!

You don’t need to be a tarot card pro to get your cards read. All you need: your Sun sign! Here’s what I do: Shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces plus one general card for everyone so that you can get specific advice around your personality.

Basically, if your bank account is not ready for a full tarot reading just yet, this one should help tide you over for now!

A GENERAL CARD FOR EVERYONE: KNIGHT OF SWORDS

Rider-Waite deck/Raydene Salinas Hansen We all have teeth–sometimes we have to show them and remind others we can fight if we have to. The Knight of Swords asks you to stand your ground this week and stay strong in the face of adversity. It’s not saying you should start a fight (although don’t run away from one), or that you need to be aggressive–just assertive. Let your inner toughness be visible, and you’ll get what you need.

ARIES: ACE OF CUPS

The passion-o-meter is pinging off the scale this week, Aries, because there’s love in the air! The Ace of Cups brings new–or rekindled–romance to your life in a BIG way. So, put yourself in opportunity’s path by going out (if you’re single) or staying in with bae if you’re not. Enjoy, bb!

TAURUS: SIX OF SWORDS

You’ve been asking yourself whether you’re ready or when the right time is to make your big move. The answer? Right effing now. The Six of Swords is a nudge from the universe to take a leap of faith because you’re readier than you think. Don’t worry–it'll probs go waaaaay better than you imagine. So stop stalling!

GEMINI: SEVEN OF WANDS

When you have competition, take it as a good omen that you’re in the right place. If others want the same thing, it’s probably pretty good, right? So, the Seven of Wands brings you the power to compete and win your desired prize this week. Go all in, give it 100%, and trust that you can do this. Go for the gold, Gemmy!

CANCER: ACE OF WANDS

A new beginning or project is in your schedule this week, and you should commit to it with optimism and enthusiasm because it’s going to be so very fulfilling and rewarding. Simply put: Do what you love. The Ace of Wands is a prod from the universe to reinstate something you’re good at and do naturally for fun into your life in a more formal way (like taking a class or using the skill to switch career paths.)

LEO: THREE OF SWORDS

The Three of Swords shows up when there is some shade around you–aka, someone who's secretly stabbing you in the back and you'd be PISSED if you knew. So, take a closer look this week. Who's being shifty AF or weirdly aggro towards you? Identify the culprit and distance yourself from them. Sure, you can still wish them well, but remove yourself from their presence.

VIRGO: TEN OF CUPS

Expect your Tinder DMs to light up with new news, and people to hit you with compliments, invitations and revelations about how they’ve long been lowkey obsessed with you. The Ten of Cups means you’re on FIRE this week, and people just can’t resist your beautiful vibes. Make the most of this love fever, and get yourself out and about. If you’re in a relationship, be sure to spend as much time with boo as possible. Soak up aaaaall these amazing feels.

LIBRA: FIVE OF CUPS

Don’t stare at the past, Libra, because you'll head in the direction of your gaze, and you don't want to go back there. The Five of Cups is a warning that an echo from the past will reach you and turn your head towards it. Acknowledge it, but don’t start reliving or ruminating over this event–it's over. Make sure your week is busy and lively, and that you're firmly rooted in the here and now. Don’t go back.

SCORPIO: PAGE OF COINS

Education is the key to success for you right now. A "back to school" vibe settles over your plans, and you see that some training or research could be what you need at the moment. So, channel the Page of Coins–the tarot’s perennial student. Seek a teacher or outside wisdom, and absorb everything you can. A little bit of higher learning can help propel you forwards.

SAGITTARIUS: THE HIEROPHANT

Tradition is an important theme for you this week. As the holidays loom into view, take a moment to reflect on what traditions in your family/local area/culture you value and wish to celebrate this year. The Hierophant is about respecting and revelling in the conventions and customs that help bond us to our loved ones and community. Surprise your fam with a spin on an old convention this winter, and show you appreciate your roots.

CAPRICORN: THE MOON

Be wary of making any firm decisions or changes this week, Cappy, because you don’t have the full picture just yet. Await insight, ask questions, do more research. The Moon shows that important information is being shielded from you, and you need to do some more digging. Don’t make a move until you 1000% know what you need to know (which, to be fair, is usually how you roll anyway.)

AQUARIUS: SEVEN OF SWORDS

If in doubt, don't do it. You’re a super-spontaneous person and you have 100% faith in your decisions...but be cautious this week, please. The Seven of Swords shows that someone is not entirely who you think they are, and they don’t have your best interests at heart. Don't give them a foothold in your life or advantage over you. Keep your plans to yourself. Be prudent. Keep people you’re not super sure of at arm’s length (for now, at least.)

PISCES: STRENGTH

You’ve been working so hard and making big sacrifices, and all of this effort is going to start paying off! Strength is a card about progress, of hard-earned rewards and recognition, and the genuine sense of pride and confidence that comes with all of that. Acknowledge your progress, celebrate your successes, and understand your lessons. You are on the way up, and it’s only going to keep getting better.
