Valentines Week has begun and so has the eternal debate about why celebrate love on just February 14 when you can do it any day, right. Irrespective of which side of the debate you are on, there is no harm in wearing a cute red dress right?

And if you had gulped loads of junk food during new year festivities, chances are you have gained the bad fat that will affect your body in the long run. Nutritionist and Diabetic Educator, Harshita Dilawri, Know Your Nutrients, Delhi, tells you the 7 easy ways that will help you look fab this Valentine’s Day.

1) Eat Organic- You should eat organic food to flush out waste and toxic substances, which are affecting your system. This will minimize the chances of consuming pesticides resulting in the removal of unwanted fat.

2) Intermitting fasting- Fasting can be one of the best ways to detox your body. Not eating relaxes your organs and helps the liver to get rid of toxins. During fasting, the body utilizes the fat for day-to-day activities and improves your metabolism and circulation.

3) Drink Fresh Juices- You should prefer freshly made fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies, tea, and certain liquids such as salt-water and lemon juice, which will help in toxin removal in the form of urine.

4) Exercise- Exercise plays a major role in detoxing your body as it removes toxins in the form of sweat. Exercise also helps the body to improve metabolism and burn the unwanted fat rapidly, making you fit, fresh and energetic.

5) Eliminate- You should eliminate alcohol, coffee and refined sugar as it can result in weight gain and bad fat as well. By eliminating sugar, you can improve insulin resistance and eliminate unwanted weight.

6) Focus on sleep- You should take adequate and quality sleep at night as it supports the system to detox naturally. Brain recognizes the sleep and start recharging itself. Sleep deprivation can lead to obesity, anxiety, blood pressure and other health problems.

7) Avoid Processed Food- You should avoid processed and packaged food as it contains added sugars, which can cause obesity, heart attack and diabetes.
