Does Getting COVID-19 Vaccination Make You More Attractive?

Apart from following COVID-appropriate behaviour, getting vaccinated is the first line of defence against the raging Coronavirus pandemic.

And, according to a recent survey by dating app QuackQuack, getting a jab can also increase your romantic potential. The app asked 20,000 users in India to give their take on dating during the pandemic and the result was ahemm... quite enlightening.

Anti-vaxxers = Forever Alone

A whopping majority of the survey respondents are vehemently against dating people who are against vaccinations, no matter how interesting their vaccine conspiracy theories might be.

The app states - With the ongoing Covid triple mutant crisis, 85 per cent of women and 70 per cent of men say that they will directly cut off contact with those against the idea of vaccination. However, a few of the respondents did say that they would continue conversing with an anti-vaxxer even though dating may just be out of the question.

Guess, not everyone can resist a juicy conspiracy theory about how vaccines are being used to turn the human race into aliens.

Get vaccinated, meet the love of your life

The survey also shows that a majority (about 70 per cent) of people would consider meeting their date if they are vaccinated. In fact, most of them believe that that inoculation is a prerequisite for their date.

People are also likelier to talk to someone who is pro-vaccine. Meanwhile, if you are suffering from vaccine-hesitancy, just sign up for your jab already since the chances of anti-vaxxers getting rejected on the app are as high as 75 per cent. If not for your own wellbeing, get vaccinated for the love!

Founder and CEO of the dating app, Ravi Mittal, points out that the survey's findings show that people are not taking their safety lightly. He says, “The survey has given us some very important insights into how people are not being negligent about the prevailing crisis and are strictly abiding by the health protocols issued for everybody’s wellbeing. Conversations have now moved from ‘lockdown’, ‘Covid’, ‘masks’, ‘social distancing’ to ‘vaccination’ and ‘the greater fear about the second wave’. It has rather become essential to disclose that you have been vaccinated because otherwise there are very slim chances of finding a match. Therefore, vaccination has become an added quality for a person to be liked and chosen.”

So, stay safe and find love!
