Taylor Swift becomes the first artist to claim top 10 spots on Billboard Hot 100

We’ve got some good news for all you Swifties out there! The American pop star has achieved an unprecedented feat and etched her name in the books of history by claiming every single spot on the top 10 on Billboard Hot 100 chart. All the 10 songs on the list are from Swift's newly released album Midnights, which has sold one million copies in the US in just three days, according to Billboard. 

The magazine also reported on Monday that she’s surpassed hip-hop artist and rapper Drake, who got nine singles in the top 10 in September, 2021.

As of Monday night, Anti-Heroes held the number one spot, making it the 11-time Grammy winner's ninth number-one hit. The track whose lyrics “It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me” have become a rage on social media, leads the way with a resounding 59.7 million streams, followed by Lavender Haze with 41.4 million, Maroon with 37.6 million, and Snow on the Beach at No. 4 with 37.2 million streams. Midnight Rain; Bejeweled‘ Question…?; You're on Your Own, Kid; Karma; and Vigilante S complete the top 10. 

As far as the number of records Swift shattered goes, where do we even begin? For starters, Midnight had the biggest first-week sales of any album this year, almost double the numbers of the previous title-holder, Harry’s House, the third solo album by Harry Styles. Midnights also had the highest first-week streams of the year: 72.5m, again beating Styles’ 53.9m. On the day of its release, the album broke global Spotify records for the most streams of a single album in one day!

Swift is also now tied with Ariana Grande for most songs by a woman to debut at number one on the Hot 100 chart. They each have five, according to Billboard. Drake leads all artists with seven.
