The Best Places to Live in the World as an Ex-Pat if You're Fed Up and Want a Change

​It's Wednesday. Summer's over; you're probably left with the dregs of that 'back to school' feeling you got following your summer holiday; and mulled wine, winter walks and all the other things we look forward to come Christmas time are that ​bit ​too far away to get excited about.

So the chances are you'll have been furiously googling how you can escape your life and start a new, shiny one somewhere completely unknown by now. Amiright? (Er, or maybe it's just me who does that.)

Well, for the purposes of people who do think escaping is the answer, today HSBC released their list of best places in the world to live for ex-pats, and it's fuelling our wild imaginations.

So here are the places worth exploring in more detail, based on economics, experience and family life, according to nearly 27,000 expats from 190 countries who were surveyed:
