India's first coffee omakase experience is here—and it promises beachside views

Let’s be real: you can scroll through endless Bali reels on IG, but Goa will always have your heart. The charm of the beach, the sway of the palms, and the pursuit of susegad is what keeps us coming back to the sunshine state. But if you’re done with the same old shacks and overcrowded party spots, this one’s worth adding to your itinerary. Morjim Culture has officially landed on the Goan map—serving beach-core energy with a twist, including India’s first beachside coffee omakase. It’s a barista-led tasting experience where slow mornings meet speciality brews, curated breakfasts, and sea views—all before the first cocktail is even poured.

So, what is coffee omakase?

Inspired by the Japanese dining tradition where you leave the meal entirely up to the chef, coffee omakase is like giving your usual order a glow-up. Instead of picking just one drink off the menu, you’re taken on a slow, multi-course journey through different brews—each one handpicked and walked through by the barista. It’s part tasting, part storytelling, and all about discovering coffee in a way you probably haven’t before. And here, this entire ritual plays out right on the beach—with a side of breezy breakfasts, swaying palms, and the ocean doing its background thing. It’s your morning coffee, reimagined and beachified.

Picture this: you roll out of bed and land up here for an espresso with ocean views, move into golden hour with cocktails in hand and toes in the sand, and then wander into a secret speakeasy where the only rule is “no rules.” Mornings are made for slow sips and slower living. Think earthy textures, open-air seating, aesthetic lighting, and the kind of oat milk latte that practically begs to be on Stories.

Founder Gaurav Narang says the vision was always about authenticity. “Gen Z can sniff out inauthenticity from a mile away. That’s why, before we even opened doors, we started by documenting the real people of Morjim—the chaiwalas, the dreadlocked musicians, the barefoot artists. They’re the vibe. We built our story around theirs.”

Now the menu? Pure serotonin. From the dragonfruit smoothie bowl to the oat life espresso, the food’s made for both your gut and your grid. Narang adds, “We’re not just running a restaurant—we’re building a community. One that captures Goa’s coastline energy, the global traveller’s palate, and the new generation’s craving for connection, creativity, and curated chaos.”

By the time the sun starts doing its soft-focus, golden glow thing, the vibe switches. It goes from brunchy chill to barefoot dancing and beachy beats. The food menu at this hour is anything but boring. You’ve got Turkish grills, prawn rolls with black forest flair, jackfruit kebabs for the vegan gang, and enough seafood to sample the true essence of the coast. “By sundown, the café turns into an elevated bar culture moment. We’ve introduced India’s first clarified, speciality coffee-forward cocktail program with botanical infusions, wild ferments, and zero shortcuts,” Narang adds.

Every dish and drink here is crafted with just enough drama to catch your eye. So basically, your phone eats first, but your taste buds will thank you too. And just when you think you’ve done it all, it’s time to step into Unculture—a hidden speakeasy. This moody and magnetic bar is where playlists go deep and the drinks get bold. From the spro’groni (where coffee meets Negroni) to the frisky raw mango picante, the drinks here are for people who love a good time but take their liquor seriously.

TL;DR? This is your kind of Goa

Beyond the soul-satisfying food, curated cocktails, and dreamy design, Morjim Culture stands out for the energy it creates which makes everyone feel like they belong. With sunrise yoga for the early birds, post-surf smoothie bowls for the wellness babes, and impromptu late-night hangs for the “just one more drink” crew (who are obviously staying till 2 am). So the next time someone asks, “Where to in Goa?”, drop a pin on this hotspot!
