From creepy thrillers to chaotic rom-coms (and even a Marvel misfit reunion), here’s your ultimate watchlist for the season—because your couch deserves some drama too.
You, Season 5
April 24, On Netflix
Protagonist Joe Goldberg might be a walking red flag, but boring? Never. The murky show’s final and highly-anticipated season will be picking up right where season 4 left off. In a teaser, Joe breaks the fourth wall to creep us all out. “Hello, you,” he whispers, before signing off with, “Goodbye, you.” Uh...should we be worried? Do we need to keep our tasers handy while watching the show? Hello? Netflix?

As if dating in this generation wasn’t already a nightmare, this movie will be taking it to a whole new level! It will follow Meghann Fahy (Violet), a widowed mom dipping her toes back into the dating pool. Midway through her first date with Brandon Sklenar’s character, Henry, Violet starts getting cryptic texts demanding she kill him...or her son dies. The romcom turns into fullblown horror show, where ghosting is no longer an option.

Marvel’s latest movie is basically a reunion for all your favourite morally-questionable characters. Starring Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, and David Harbour, the characters will be handling the messy missions the government doesn’t want on record. Think of them as the Avengers’ rebellious, slightly unhinged cousins. Less heroic speeches, more “let’s get this over with” energy. And honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Hollywood making a show about Hollywood? Groundbreaking. This 10-episode comedy series is about the eternal tug of war between creativity and commerce in the entertainment industry. Seth Rogen isn’t just starring as Matt Remick, the new head of Continental Studios, he also wrote, directed, and produced the series (we’re guessing some of this chaos must be personal). He’s joined by Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, and a stacked cast, plus surprise appearances from Bryan Cranston, Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, and more.

Written and directed by Karan Sharma, the movie is set in Varanasi. First-time co-stars RajKummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi play lovers who are eager to tie the knot—but they can’t. Rao’s character wakes up to find himself stuck in his haldi ceremony and unable to get to the wedding. Again. And again. And again. (What in the Severance?!) The poor guy just wants to make it to the mandap, but time has other plans. Guess he is destined to be a haldi-coated bachelor forever?
Aap Jaisa Koi
TBD, On Netflix
They say opposites attract, and this R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh starrer is putting that theory to the test. In this romantic drama, Madhavan plays Shrirenu Tripathi, a Sanskrit teacher, while Shaikh takes on the role of Madhu Bose, a French professor— naturally, they fall in love. Directed by Vivek Soni and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, the film is set to release this year—though the exact date has still not been announced.
