The Crazy-Genius Hack Korean Women Use for Curling Their Lashes

Hacks are my favorite genre of beauty and I'm forever on the hunt for ways to take my lashes to new, Kardashian-level heights. So when I got wind of a new, fail-proof technique that Korean women, aka our makeup messiahs, are employing to amp up their fringe, my interest was thoroughly piqued.

In an interview with Byrdie, Insider Beauty founder Angela Kim revealed that the K-beauty trick entails cutting off the two ends of a Q-tip, heating up the stick with fire, then using it to "lift" the lashes as you would an electric eyelash curler.

When Byrdie's editor put it to the test, she found that when used in tandem with a traditional, stainless steel curler, as well as mascara, it was like a push-up bra for her lashes that lasted all day. Enticing, no?

And confession: Eyelash curlers, particularly electric ones, kind of freak me out — making me feel like I'm one spastic movement away from loosing every last lash. So even though this involves heat, its non-clampy nature is totally appealing. Not to mention, I can get even more mileage out of my Glossier lighter.
