Here's What Realistic Ken Dolls Would Look Like

The world was delighted by last week's (long overdue, super historical) news that Barbies would soon be available in several new shapes and sizes. Some (men) argued though that if Barbie got a realistic body image revamp, it was only fair Ken did too, so fashion curating brand Lyst did exactly that.

Well, kind of. In a press release, Lyst provided the above picture of "Beach DadBod Ken, Bearded Hipster Ken, and Balding Ken, alongside black, Asian and petite Kens." Though the dolls don't actually exist, you can buy everything they would hypothetically wear IRL on their site. "The new Ken dolls reflect modern man's real appearance, plus real fashion tastes," the press release reads.

In all seriousness, it's great to see the demand for realistic representations of all body types in the toys kids these days are playing with answered. If babies grow up with Barbies and Kens that actually look like you and me, our kids will undoubtedly live in a much more peaceful, tolerant world than even we were brought up in. 

...That said, if I ever see a Cabbage Patch Kid with a dad bod revamp, I'm done.
