Here's Why You Are Still Single Based On Your Briggs-Myer Personality Type

If there is one thing most single people cannot help but wonder about, it's questioning why they are still single. Even though we have all been in multiple relationships by the time we reach a certain age, it can still be quite daunting every time you break up with someone and start putting yourself out there again. Couple that with the fact that you find it difficult to meet someone, or that you do meet people but it doesn't seem to go anywhere, and you can be left wondering if there might be something wrong with you in the first place.

We urge you to put your mind to rest. We all have our own challenges when it comes to dating, and the answer to what's holding you back may lie in your Briggs -Myer personality type. Now, incase you are wondering what that is, let us educate you.

According to Wikipedia, the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an introspective self-report questionnaire with the purpose of indicating differing psychological preferences in how people perceive the world around them and make decisions. The MBTI was constructed by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers. This test separates all people into 16 distinct personality types and believe us when we say it is creepily accurate. Click on this link to figure out your personality type right away.

Now, once you know your personality type it can help you with many of your work and personal challenges. What we, however, are providing insight into is specifically your romantic relationships, or the lack of them hereof. Here's the reason you could be single based on your personality type.

single

ESFJ- The Caregiver

They are single because they have a saviour complex and keep going for wounded people, who can’t properly love them back. They can finally settle down when they are  attracted to someone who has his or her shit together and doesn’t need to be bullied into a relationship.

ESTP- The Doer

These guys  having way too much fun sleeping around and flirting with casual relationships. If they learn to appreciate the person they are with, they should have no problem finding the one.

ENTJ-The Executive

They tend to have  have impossibly high standards, and would probably just marry themselves if it were legal. This type of personality will settle down when they decide that it is practical to do, at which point they will assess potential suitors and propose to the most logical subject.

ENFJ-The Giver

This type probably smothered the c**p out of their last partner, who genuinely did not have anything left to “Open up” about. They will however meet someone who will value how wonderful they are sooner or later.

INTJ-The Scientist

INTJs over analyse social interactions to the point where it seems easier to just avoid them altogether. If a hell-bent ENFP follows them around for a long enough period of time, they will eventually just accept that they are dating.

ESFP-The Performer

Performers will already have dated anyone they are mildly interested in and are now bored. Their next relationship? It will happen when they want it, this personality tends to be quite irresistible to most.

ESTJ-The Guardian

Those helpful life pointers they gave on their last date? Those were actually pretty insulting! Well, they will soon meet an Anastasia Steele type who just wants to be bossed around and end up marrying them.

ENFP-The Inspirer

This lot just cannot decide what they want. They will settle down with  someone just unattainable enough to intrigue them for a significant period of time.

INFJ- The Protector

One word only for these guys: trust issues. Some like a devoted giver can probably convince them that they can be trusted, after a considerable period of time, that is.

ISTJ-The Duty Fulfiller

They just aren’t a party animal/wild child that everyone else around them seems to be (at least to them). We know it seems like forever, but people will finally get to a more responsible phase of life and want to settle down, just like you have been ready for the past few decades.

INFP-The Idealist

Their problem? Just like the name suggests, they idealise their potential partners and then get upset when reality doesn’t measure up. They will settle down when they meet someone who also wants the rest of his or her life to resemble a Nicholas Sparks novel.

ISTP-The Mechanic

This type likes to rely on apps to get laid (Mainly tinder) and don’t see a reason to switch up the game plan. For them to settle down, they need to meet an insistent ESFJ who declares him or herself as their significant other and introduces themselves to their entire family before they have had a chance to protest.

ISFJ-The Nurturer

Their problem? Being  attracted to carefree personalities, who then take a relationship twelve hundred times less seriously than they do.Worry not, that ESTP you’ve been pursuing will finally be ready to settle down one day!

ISFP-The Artist

Artists like to keep to themselves, and haven’t found anyone they love more than they love Reality TV. Life cannot be lived solo, and they will find someone who intriguing enough to pull them out of their shell, sooner or later.

INTP-The Thinker

Dating involves meeting people, and these guys are single because they haven’t left their apartment in three months.Well, true love will blossom when they  meet someone just like themselves on World of Warcraft.

ENTP-The Visionary

Psst, they are not. They are probably already in a couple of relationships that they have just forgotten about! Jokes apart, they will settle down when their partner pulls their head out the clouds and has 'the talk' with them.
