Pictures are a social staple, and with clicks aplenty on every occasion, you’ll want to ensure your face is picture-perfect in every snap. Here’s how to make the camera love you...
1. For gorgeous, wide-open eyes in photos, apply beige or taupe shadow to lids (use matte—glitter looks greasy). Apply three coats of mascara for instant doe-eyes, or don faux lashes—they may look a bit much in the mirror, but will look like naturally long lashes in pictures (as long as it’s not a close-up shot).
2. Crème bases can be cakey in photos and stick concealers can give an unattractive matte effect. So, prep face with a light reflecting-based foundation formula that bounces light off any imperfections, giving a soft, pretty glow.
3. Wear a blush and bronzer. If you opt for just one, your face can look flat on film. Start with a bronzer on your cheekbones and around the outside of your face; then, apply blush just to the apples of your cheeks.
4. A shiny gloss reflects well in photos. Layer on a coloured gloss, preferably containing SPF, for a more kissable photo-finish.
5. Instead of tackling the camera head-on, angle your body three-quarters towards it with a shoulder closer, one foot behind the other and your weight on the back leg. This will make you appear slimmer instantly.
