According to Delhi-based celebrity dermatologist, Dr Deepali Bhardwaj, sunblock present in BB creams, lipsticks and hair sprays is just a promotion tactic and provides only patchy sun protection, leading to uneven complexion in the long run.

 

“I feel the sunblock should not exist in above, as it’s a gimmick!

 

According to her, body lotions with shine do not live up to the promise as well. “Also, the shine can lead to cancer. So, like a cigarette, the warning must come on the product for the consumer to decide.”
