Matthew Perry Reveals 'He Can't Remember' Three Years of Filming Friends

Matthew Perry has revealed that he can't actually remember filming three of the ten years' worth of Friends episodes he recorded, thanks to his drink and drug addictions. And it makes us want to give him/Chandler Bing a hug.

Although the only real problems Matthew's on-screen character, Chandler, faced were a load of bad jokes and a lack of luck with the ladies, behind the scenes, the actor was struggling.

During his promotional tour for the play he's written and is about to star in at London's West End, The End Of Longing, Matthew was interviewed on BBC Radio 2 by Chris Evans. But when asked what his least favourite episode was to film, Matthew revealed some pretty sad information.

"I don't remember three years of it," he said, "so none of those."

Describing it a little more, he said: "I was a little out of it at the time...Somewhere between seasons three and six." Which means ALL the stuff in London, when Monica and Chandler first get together - he can't remember any of it. And it makes us feel sad.

Matthew has never hidden his history of struggling with alcohol and drugs, telling the Hollywood Reporter last year that "you can't have a drug problem for 30 years and then expect to have it be solved in 28 days."

And he added: "I'm a pretty private person, but I was on a TV show that 30 million people were watching. So people knew. It was so public what was happening to me."

Since getting on top of his substance abuse, Matthew has even opened up a sober house for recovering addicts, called Perry House, in his old home in Malibu. Whadda guy.

But it wasn't all addiction talk, there was also some good news to take from the interview: Matthew would be WELL up for an actual Friends reunion. Although we've been banging on about it for yonks, and thought we'd come close to it recently but then had our hopes dashed, Matthew says he thinks the cast would all be keen to get back together for one more special episode.

"I don't know what the price would be but I think the actors would actually be open to it... I do," he said, at which point we nearly burst with excitement.

"I think we would be open to doing something, some kind of TV special. I don't know about a movie. It's kind of tough because we've ended on such a high note that we don't want to ruin it, so we'd want to be really careful."

Soooo, you've thought about it then??

"Sometimes when you do a reunion it's terrible, and it sort of ruins the memory of the good show that you've done before," he finished by saying. Although there's literally no way a Friends reunion could ever be terrible.

So we'll take that as a yes from you, then. We'll work on Matt Le Blanc next, we reckon he'll be game too.
