Deepika Padukone Puts Mr & Mrs Smith Remake Rumours To Rest

As soon as the world got to know about Deepika Padukone bagging a lead role in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, making her Hollywood debut, rumours had been rife that she'd be soon seen in a remake of Mr & Mrs Smith. But she put all rumours to rest at a press conference in Mumbai yesterday.

Deepika, who's the brand ambassador of Gillette Venus, launched a new product in the women's razor category, said at the press con: "Well, let's set the record straight because there have been a lot of rumours regarding a lot of films I am supposedly doing. I had always maintained, when I am offered a film, I'll talk about it, if not, I'll never talk about it. The only film I am doing now is Padmavati, it's consuming all my life."

Well, that's that! However, fans of Deepika and Ranveer Singh (as actors and as a couple) do have a lot to look forward to with Padmavati, which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
