Here's What Exactly the Who's Who of Bollywood Wore to Akash Ambani's Pre-Engagement Party

As we all know by now—thanks to the zillions of images that have flooded our news feed—Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s eldest son Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, the youngest daughter of Russell Mehta of Rosy Blue Diamonds, threw a fabulous pre-engagement Sangeet party yesterday.

The ceremony took place at the Ambani’s 27-story (we are not kidding!) South Mumbai residence - Antilia. The entire Ambani clan was dressed to the nines of course, given the fact that this is going to be the wedding of the year, if not the century. Never the ones to be left behind, our favourite Bollywood celebs who were in attendance pulled out all the designer stops as well. All in all, it was quite the party, and we, of course were watching errrrything!

Here's a list of exactly who wore what last night.

1. The Bride-to-be, Shloka Mehta

All eyes were on Shloka last night and she did not disappoint, wearing not one but two fabulous outfits, one for the ceremony and the other one later, for pictures of course. 

The first of the two was a gold off-shoulder bespoke bridal outfit by couture powerhouses Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Shloka seems to be shining, doesn't she?

The second was a blush pink Sabyasachi lehnga that made her look fresh, young and super pretty. Which one do you like more? We just can't seem to pick!

2. Neeta Ambani 

Akash's mom Neeta looked like a queen in red in a red-and-gold Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree (draped in traditional Gujarati fashion) and jewellery that went on for miles. Kundan, Meenakari, diamonds and gold glittered resplendently as she danced on stage to welcome guests. Talk about making her presence felt.

3. Isha Ambani

And now for the twin sister, Isha Ambani.Abu Sandeep seem to be a family favourite, and Isha looked pretty and fresh in floral baby pink. Check her out as she performs a traditional ceremony to welcome her impending sister-in-law!

We just love how she plays around with her brother Akash, don't you?

And now...let's just take a look at how Bollywood kept up with the Ambanis, shall we?

1. Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka did a Desi Girl sequel in a red sari as she showed up with boyfriend Nick Jonas. Her outfit was also by Abu and Sandeep, who seem to be the unofficial designated designers of the event, or so it seems. 

We can't get over the fact that we got to spot Priyanka and Nick together again. He looks pretty smitten by her Indian avatar as well.

4. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan

The Khans showed up in their designer best, and they seemed to be quite adamant to outshine everyone including the Ambanis. (JK guys!)

Gauri wore a black and silver appliqué Anarkali by designers Falguni and Shane Peacock, while Shah Rukh looked dapper in a custom blue suit by Masculine. 

5. Alia Bhatt

Alia too decided to look pretty in pink. She wore a woven Manish Malhotra sari, Amrapali earrings and pulled her hair back in a bun with a traditional gajra, even adding a bindi to keep her look Indian to the T. We think she looks really cute, don't you?

6. Ranbir Kapoor

Alia's rumoured boyfriend Ranbir also showed up in traditional Indian wear. His outfit was by Rohit Bal, a traditional white Bandi over a black and white striped kurta and black churidar. 

We personally think his look is stylish, understated and the best of the lot, but you take your own pick.

7.Karan Johar

Karan Johar showed up in a red velvet Manish Malhotra sherwani, keeping up with his hip and trendy image, yet again. How do you always look so fresh K? Tell us what your secret is!

So that pretty much sums up what the who's who that attended last night's party wore. If this doesn't give you major #weddingwardrobegoals , we don't know what will.
