4 Things Priyanka Chopra Shared About Her Friendship With Meghan Markle

The recently turned 36-year-old is currently riding high on her new projects in Bollywood, and of course, what seems to be, a blossoming relationship with the American pop-star Nick Jonas. The adorably-in-love couple have now been spotted together multiple times, across the globe, and even rang in Priyanka Chopra's birthday together in London. 

Speaking of London, the last time PeeCee visited the kingdom was to be part of the famous Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and her 'best friend' Meghan Markle. A spectacular event that was witnessed by the world, all at once, Priyanka was a special part of the bride's crew, as suggested by the pictures she shared. 

In an interesting interview, Priyanka had talked about her friendship with the former actor now Duchess, and shared how they went on to become friends.

"We bonded as actors. We just became friends, like two girls would," she said.

In conversation with PEOPLE magazine, she recently divulged more on how her friendship with Meghan has not faltered, despite the distance and busy schedules.

 

"I think friendships depend on people individually and how personal your relationship is. You can have work friendships, those are different. But when you have real friendships, like ours, it doesn’t matter what people look at you as or where your world goes, you sort of just, stay friends. And I think that’s what we’re like," she said.

Speaking of how highly she thought of Meghan's overall style, Priyanka confessed:

"I’ve always thought she was a super stylish girl. She’s someone that I’ve always looked up to for her style. Always, before she got married. And I just think she’s so well turned out always and she’s so chic in what she wears."

The Duchess of Sussex is regularly spotted fulfilling her royal duties, either accompanying the Queen, attending the royal christening and, sometimes, simply chilling — with her sister-in-law Kate Middleton at a tennis match! Even as she seems to have adapted to her role as the Duchess of Sussex well, a source revealed to PEOPLE that she "has found certain rules in the royal household difficult to understand, like the fact that the Queen prefers women in dresses or skirts rather than trouser suits, and is often asking Harry why things have to be done in a certain way. I think she finds it a little frustrating at times, but this is her new life, and she has to deal with it."

On that note, when Priyanka was asked what she feels about Meghan's new married life, she was all heart-eyed and said, 

"She’s doing amazing. It’s so nice to see."
