Every year, Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com holds a contest to see who among their readers can make the most fabulous wedding dress out of that most common of common household items, toilet paper. The winner receives a prize of $10,000 cash, provided by Charmin, with the first and second runners up receiving prizes of $5000 and $2500 respectively.
This year's entries were insanely amazing. I'm talking Kleinfeld-Say-Yes-to-the-Dress amazing.
In third place was Donna Vincler of Brentwood, Tennessee.
Donna actually won the contest last year with this amazing creation:
In second place was Judith Henry of Woodland Hills, Utah.
Yes, that is all toilet paper. How she created the smooth, wavy bottom of that mermaid skirt, I have no idea. Magic, perhaps?
And in first place, winning the grand prize of $10,000, was Van Tran of Brooklyn, New York.
25-year-old Van is a part-time designer and restaurant hostess who operates her own online store and teaches sewing classes on the side. At least, for now. Who knows what the future could hold for her? She's obviously extremely talented and inventive. If she can do all that with toilet paper, imagine what she can do with actual fabric!
