This One Simple Habit Could Lead to a Happier And Calmer You

At a time when everyone is suffering with bad mental health, thanks to toxic work environments, over-exposure to technology, and many other factors, it's hard to find ways to keep ourselves from plunging further into the dark hole of anxiety and depression.

But scientists are working hard at finding solutions that could possibly help us maintain healthy minds and bodies. A similar study, conducted recently by Neel Ocean and Peter Howley from the University of Leeds, has shown that there one, simple thing that you can do to boost your mental health — and it's something we've all been hearing since we were kids. Eating vegetables and fruits, cooked or raw, can apparently boost your happiness and feeling of well-being.

That's right, according to the study, eating one portion of veges or fruit every day can be as beneficial as going for a walk for an extra seven to eight days a month. Who would've guessed! This also means that there is an intrinsic link between what we eat and our mental well-being — so watch what you consume, because, like they say, you are what you eat.
