Celebrity Pilates trainer Yasmin Karachiwala has been keeping quite busy during the self-quarantine.
"Strangely it's not been difficult at all for me as I feel like I’m busier than normal with giving people suggestions on how to workout and sending workouts to clients and also, most importantly, doing live workout sessions with all the people stuck at home," she says.
From hosting live workout videos on her social media channels to sessions with fellow fitness enthusiast Katrina Kaif, Cosmo spoke to Yasmin about her tips to get fit.
Cosmo: Are there some changes you have made in your diet during this period?
Yasmin Karachiwala: I basically eat very clean, so I’ve not had to make any significant changes to the way I eat. Also, my activity level hasn’t changed, I’m still working out and getting my cardio in by walking around the house.
Cosmo: Can a workout actually boost your immunity?
YK: Pilates workouts are great to boost immunity. You can find a playlist with different Pilates exercises on my YouTube channel.
Cosmo: Is it possible to swap a pilates workout session for an at-home workout?
YK: Most definitely, you can do mat pilates anywhere. All you have to do is log in to my channel.
Cosmo: What is one the exercise to do if you absolutely don’t want to work out but want to remain active?
YK: There’s nothing that can beat walking, can be done anywhere, anytime and requires nothing but you.
Cosmo: How are you practising self-care during self-isolation?
YK: Well, I’m making sure I have vitamin C, D and Echinacea everyday. Also, eating healthy home cooked meals and staying away from oily, fried foods, sugar and dairy.
