As the lockdown extends by a few weeks once again and the deadly pandemic shows no signs of abating, it is natural to feel anxious and stressed. During unprecedented times such as these, some have turned towards the healing powers of art to keep calm and carry on.
Sravanti Vitta Sanjay, a 24-year-old computer science engineer from Bengaluru, is one such artist. In a bid to spread positivity through her work, she has created an illustration titled, Art Sets You Free! for Cosmopolitan India’s #WorkFromHome series.
Through this exclusive illustration, Sravanti explores how one can be positive during this pandemic.
"We might not realise it, but art plays a huge role in our lives. We are caged and isolated right now, but only limited by what we can't imagine. This unprecedented time has to be looked upon with a positive mindset, with creative juices flowing constantly, helping us break the cages of our imagination, radiating positivity, and seizing opportunities," Sravanti tells Cosmo.
