'Tis the season for Snoopy holiday jazz playlists on loop, cozy fireplace TV screensavers, and—of course—Christmas movies. Whether you're spending the yuletide season with family, gathering with friends, getting cozy with a significant other, or enjoying the solitude of being home alone, it's practically become tradition to have holiday films playing all month long. Miracle on 34th Street, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Elf, and other oldies but goodies are a sure-fire way to get everyone in a festive mood. But every year, a roster of new movies comes along. Some of them might be great to play in the background while folding laundry or putting up Christmas decorations, while others might actually be worth including on your movie night watch list.
Here are the new movies you might want to check out for the 2025 holiday season.

This remake of the '80s Christmas slasher film follows the same premise as the original. When he was young, Billy Chapman (Rohan Campbell) witnessed the bloody murder of his parents at the hands of a man dressed in a Santa suit. Because of this, he's made it an annual tradition to commit multiple bloody murders every Christmas—while wearing the red suit and white beard, of course. However, this revival puts a more twisted, supernatural twist to the original story.
