Words flow, words heal and words surely make you feel.
Designer Amit Aggarwal carries forth his artistic journey on to paper with a series of poems especially penned to heal your heart during these trying times.
Cosmo India: When did you begin your poetic journey? Was there a poem that inspired you?
Amit Aggarwal: I don’t think I can really call my writings poems, it’s just my thoughts on paper. I write quite often without any purpose when I’ve felt something remarkable that needs to extend beyond my body.
Daffodils by William Wordsworth made me fall in love with the beauty of poetry. I was in grade six then.
C: Any favourite poet or a favourite poem?
AA: My favourite poet is Gulzaar. I love a lot of his prose and poetry but my favourite poem by him is from the movie Namkeen the song being 'Phir se aiiyo badra bidesi'.
C: Do you think there is a connection between fashion and poetry?
AA: Fashion is poetry written with fabric.
C: Have you ever gifted a poem to someone?
AA: I leave a lot of my written feelings on scrap paper in many of Ankit’s books without him knowing. It’s literally like a treasure hunt game where one fine day he could be opening a book and stumbling upon something I wrote for him at some point without knowing the time or date it was written on.
