It's officially the week of Lollapalooza India 2025, and if you're anything like me, you're probably already deep into outfit planning, playlist curations, and mentally preparing for the absolute madness that awaits. The Mahalakshmi Racecourse in Mumbai is about to transform into the ultimate music paradise on March 8 and 9, bringing a lineup that’s equal parts legendary and fresh. And while we all know the artists for their chart-topping bangers, some of their tracks have also made unforgettable appearances on-screen, giving us those cinematic moments we just can’t shake off.

So, to hype you up even more, here’s a little something to look forward to—songs by this year’s performers that have left their mark not just in music, but in movies and TV shows too.

When every goodbye needs a bit of Green Day

Green Day’s 'Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)' is basically the soundtrack to every emotional farewell ever. But its moment in Deadpool? Absolute gold. Played during the post-credit scene with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, it was the perfect mix of humour and nostalgia. A classic that hits right in the feels, every single time.

The crocodile karaoke moment we didn’t know we needed

Shawn Mendes’ voice in Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile was already a win, but 'Top of the World' really took the film’s feel-good energy up a notch. Whether you’re a kid or just someone who loves a catchy melody (guilty!), this track is pure serotonin.

Grey’s Anatomy got even sadder (if that’s even possible)

AURORA’s 'Forgotten Love' appearing in Grey’s Anatomy was the definition of heartbreak on heartbreak. Her ethereal voice combined with the emotional wreckage that is Grey’s Anatomy made for one of those moments where you just sit there, staring at the screen, trying to process life.

The rebellious anthem that fit The Vampire Diaries too well

Nothing But Thieves know how to bring the intensity, and 'Ban All the Music' in The Vampire Diaries was the perfect example. Dark, moody, and full of energy—it matched the show’s vibe effortlessly, making an already dramatic scene even more gripping.

Dot. bringing nostalgia to The Archies

Dot. is hands down one of the most exciting voices right now, and her songs 'Sunoh' and 'Va Va Voom' in The Archies were straight-up magic. A mix of old-school charm and something totally fresh, her music fit the film’s youthful, dreamy world like a glove.

With just days to go until Lollapalooza India 2025, consider this your pre-game soundtrack. Blast these tracks, finalise your outfits, and get ready to lose your voice singing along live. And if you haven’t secured your spot yet, the last batch of tickets is still up on lollaindia.com—don’t miss out!
