This New Mom Wrote a Tribute to Her Bump After Being Body-Shamed

When Giovanna Fletcher stepped out less than two weeks after giving birth to her son, a stranger pointed at her stomach and laughed, saying, "Oh look, Mummy's still got her tummy."

She was so shocked, she laughed. But when she couldn't get the comment out of her head, Fletcher took to Instagram to write a moving tribute to her body and proudly posted a full-length selfie. In just a day, the post has racked up more than 61,000 likes. And for good reason.

She wrote: "Yes, I still have a bump. But that bump kept my little baby boy safe for a whole nine months. That bump has filled my world with even more love and light than I knew possible. That bump is a miracle worker... My bump will slowly go over time, but I'll never stop being thankful to it and my body for everything it's given me. #spreadlove"
